Kelab Rekreasi Tentera Udara or
popularly known as KRTU was the brainchild of former
Chief of Air Force, Lt. Gen Tan Sri Mohamed bin Ngah
Said. It is spread over 123 acres of former Oil Palm
Estate, located inside Malaysia's premier Air Force
Base, Subang.
From
the beginning the course design was conceptualized with
the maximum usage of its existing hilly terrain. What
turned our is a challenging 18 hole course which put
plenty of demand on skill, accuracy and personal
endurance.
The first nine know as the Tasik
(Lake) Nine for is numerous water traps is more
challenging. The second is known as the Sawit (Oil Palm)
Nine for the Palm Trees which lines most of the fairway.
But the most talked about sectors
are the par three at seventh holes. Teeing off must
cross over a pond which demands exacting accuracy as its
green is almost an island.
