Kulim Golf & Country Resort is
situated within the Kulim Hi-Tech Industrial Park, a hub
of economic and industrial activities in the northern
region. The golf resort, one of the prominent facilities
in the park offers a 27 -hole international championship
class golf course, a residential area and clubhouse.
Located
in the heart of the township, the resort is mere 15
minutes drive from Butterworth. Kulim Golf & Country
Resort is easily accessible via the East-West Highway
through the new three tier Seberang Jaya Interchange
linked to the North-South Expressway.
Designed by world renowned golf
course architect John Michael Poellot of the JMP Golf
Design Group from the United States, the challenging
27-hole Kulim layout features the North & East course
whereas the 3rd nine, the West Course is an all Par
3's. The first nine (North) which opened for play in
August 1998 plays to 3,254 yards. The second (East) play
to 3,489 yards and lastly the West plays to 1,319 yards.
The second and the third nines were playable as of
December 1999 and June 2004 respectively.
With three challenging nines and
the comprehensive resort first-class facilities it
provides, Kulim Golf & Country Resort is destined to
become a haven not only for avid golfers but also for
international tournaments, and is poised to be among the
premier golf courses in the country.
