Darulaman
Golf & Country Club, situated 20 minutes from Alor Setar,
is the most popular golfing paradise in the northern
region and is one of Malaysia's premier and challenging
golf courses coupled with difficult greens.
The
1st nine, known as Sultan's Nine, has wide fairways
which are more forgiving and the 2nd nine, known as
Sultanah's Nine, is slightly narrow and more
challenging, Darulaman Golf & Country Club, a member's
club with approximately 700 members, is designed by Ted
Parslow of E & G Parslow Associates, Australia that
utilizes much of the natural panoramic landscape of lush
green hills as a perfect backdrop to give the golf
course and its surroundings, an elegant and enchantress
atmosphere. Most of the original forest and
approximately 188 acres of undulating rubber plantation
land is left intact to give the golf course a scenic
impression of natural beauty.
This challenging 18-hole par-72
golf course, measuring 6340 \.11eters from the Blue tee
turfed with greenlees park Bermuda on the fairways and
Bermuda Tifdwarf on the putting green, provides
excellent playing surfaces. The clubhouse purposely
designed with a country look, covering 33 000 square
feet, is ideally sited in a valley to give a superb view
of the golf course from the golfer's terrace
