Comments: Enjoyable public course features an interesting layout where the opening eight holes play out alongside the beach and the remaining ten holes are played on park­land terrain... Pretty short by modern standards but still great fun to play... Designed by James Braid... Main hazard on the back nine is the River Girvan, where it comes into play on the 15th hole. . . For a comparatively short track it has four of the toughest par-3 holes I've played, with three of the four featured on the course coming into play on the last nine. . . Wind off the sea can make the opening holes tough.

Comments: One of the oldest clubs in the world...Course a little outdated. . .Absolutely superb clubhouse... Wonderful club which also owns Glasgow Gailes . . . Very fine park­land course... Get your driver out here.
