Comments: Good course from back tees but visitors only play about 4000 yards from front tees or bits of fairway... Nice test in the Trossachs... Design by Tom Morris Snr ... Members too protective of course. . . Very poor value for visitors.

Comments: Always in the shadow of the Championship course but a really good test of golf in its own right... Every bit as good as the Open venue it runs alongside, only shorter... Short 5th is a really testing hole which is almost completely surrounded by the famous Barry Burn...Great finishing stretch with the Barry Burn a major threat in the final two holes. . . General condition of the course was excellent... Much cheaper to play than the big course and much more fun for the average player...Outstanding par-3 holes.
