Designed by Harold Sampson, Bert Stamps (Lake). This 27-hole layout features plenty of trees and water. Together with its small greens, accurate shot making is a must. Reciprocal play with other members-only clubs is allowed. From Sacramento (about 35 miles south to the course): Drive south on Highway. 99 and take Woodbridge Road in Woodbridge. Go west and the course is on the left.

Designed by Robert Muir Graves. At only 6,500 yards, this sprawling course is dominated by mature oaks and natural wetlands. Busy and tough, Woodcreek in some respects looks like a country club and can feel like a muni. From Sacramento (about 20 miles northeast to the course): Take I-80 east to Highway 65 north. Then take Blue Oaks west. Turn left on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard to the course.
