Designed by AI Pilon. Most of the greens are guarded by either water or traps. Bring on some wind and this flat nine-hole course can be a considerable challenge even for the most arrogant golfer. From San Diego (about 22 miles north to the course): Take I-8 east to Highway 67 north. Take the Riverford exit and get in the left lane to go under the freeway. Turn right on Riverside Drive.

Designed by William P. Bell. The oldest course in Orange County, Willowick is easily walkable, with expansive fairways and no water. This is a straightforward course with lots of trees. From Irvine (about ten miles northwest to the course): Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) north, exit onto Harbor Boulevard and head north. Turn right on Fifth Street. The course and facility have been upgraded significantly over the past several years. The only thing that has not been improved upon is the pace of play. Of course that can be said for every reasonably priced muni.
