"Unleash the Big Dog~ What does that mean? It is
just another way of saying hit your driver.
Maturing tees will someday change that strategy
here. To score well, your emphasis should be placed
on your short game. Wasco features plenty of water,
traps, and quick greens that range from flat to
undulating. From Bakersfield (about 35 miles
northwest to the course): Drive north on Highway 99
and take the Highway 46 exit west. Two miles west of
Wasco head north on Leonard Avenue, to the course.
A solid design with a tough opening twohole
stretch. Some of the best putting surfaces in the
valley. The greens alone are worth the low green
fee. Plays fast even when busy.
