Designed by David Rainville. On the front nine, you can spray the ball off the tee and find another fairway. On the back nine, you will most likely find out-of-bounds. Bunkers, five lakes, and stunning mountain backdrops form the ingredients for this popular course that meanders among wildlife preserves. From San Diego (about 25 miles north to the course): Take I-15 north, exit at Via Rancho Parkway, and head east. Turn right on San Pasqual Road. The club is on the right.

Designed by Tom Fazio. The Mountain Course is the Augusta National of Palm Springs: manicured with open driving areas, understated strategy and lots of native color. The 16th hole is one of the most beautiful and memorable you will ever play. The Desert Course, with its very small greens, abundant bunkering, and more narrow landing areas, is a fresh and attractive alternative to its sister course, the Mountain. The yardage listed is for the Mountain Course. From down­town Los Angeles (about 125 miles east to the course): Take the I-10 east, exit at Cook Street, and drive south into Indian Wells. Cook Street dead-ends at the Vintage.
