Designed by Miller & Harbottle. The site of a former cattle ranch, the course carries a cowboy theme. There are dramatic elevation changes, an abundance of water, and 114 bunkers, all with lush valley and rugged mountain views. You will find desert on both sides of every hole. From Reno (about 48 miles south to the course): Head south on US 395 and turn right at Jacks Valley Road. The course is on the left. This is a local knowledge course. Everything rolls to the valley (especially on the greens) and approach shots are very tricky. Nothing is easy from 100 yards in. With greens like glass, expect slow play on weekends. Pretty course, but too demanding for the average cowboy or cowgirl.

Designed by unknown. This is a open, walkable course with large fairways. If for some reason you happen to miss the fairways, you will find yourself in sagebrush. The greens are open in the front, and they tend to break toward Peavine Mountain. From within Reno: Off I-80, take US 395 north and take Exit 76, Stead Boulevard, and head east. Turn left on Silverlake Boulevard.
