ROOSTER RUN GOLF
CLUB
(1998)
NORTH COAST REGION
Public - 18 hole - cost: $22 - $53
2301 East Washington Street Petaluma, CA 94954
Tel: (707) 778-1211
Designed by Fred Bliss. Rooster Run offers level,
wide fairways, wind, and plenty of water hazards.
The real story is the greens. They are large, quick,
and sloping. If you can putt here, you can putt
anywhere. The local airport is nearby and can
provide some distraction. From San Francisco
(about 40 miles north
to the course): Take US 101 north to Petaluma, and
take the East Washington
Street exit. Drive about a mile east.
The course is on the left. For
the conditioning of the golf course, this is a
superb value. Rooster Run is also a great venue,
along with Adobe Creek, for winter golf in the wine
country. Our only complaint is the greens are not
consistent with the rest of the layout. The course
is friendly tee to green, then downright mean once
you are on the greens.
