Designed by Alister Mackenzie. This is a short, hilly course
where course knowledge is key. The fairways are tree
lined and narrow; the greens are small and some of
the oldest in California. Reciprocal play with
other members-only clubs is allowed.
From San Bernardino (about 12 miles east to the
course): Take I-10 east, exit onto Ford Street, and
go right for over two miles. Go left when it
dead-ends at Garden Street. Much more difficult
and engaging than its yardage might suggest; a
hidden gem.

Designed by Fred
Bliss. Forget about overpowering
this short course. You have much more to worry
about. The course is set on a ridge and surrounded
by trees. The fairways are undulating, leaving
golfers with difficult lies if they are not careful.
The greens are the fastest in the county, and after
midmorning, you will be contending with wind. Beware
of holes 13 through 15 - they pose an extreme
challenge. Reciprocal play with other
members-only clubs is allowed. From Eureka (about
20 miles south to the course): Drive south on US 101
to Fortuna. Take the Kenmar Road exit. Go east to
Fortuna Boulevard/Mill Street and turn right. Stay
to the right when the road forks, which then
dead-ends at the course.
