- 36 hole
7000 Alameda Drive, Rancho Murieta,
GA 95683
Tel: (916) 354-2400
Designed by Bert
Stamps and Arnold Palmer (North), Ted Robinson
(South). The North Course, which has hosted Senior PGA Tour events, is scenic, well-bunkered, and
treed, with large greens. Out-of-bounds is ever
present on a layout that is among the best in the
Sacramento area. Housing has encroached on the South
Course, detracting from its natural beauty; however,
the best
holes on either course
may be found farthest
from the clubhouse on the South Course. This is an
entertaining alternate
course. The yardage listed is for the
North Course. Reciprocal play with other private
clubs is allowed. From Sacramento (about 25
miles east to the course): Drive east on US
50 and take the Bradshaw exit south. Turn left on
Jackson Road (Highway
16)
to the club, which is on the left.

This is a scenic, hilly park-setting course, with
mature trees and new, modern-style greens.
A city reservation card is needed to book a tee
time. The yardage listed is for the
regulation-length course. There is also a 992-yard,
par-3 nine-hole course. The phone number is
310-838-7561. From west Los Angeles: Off the
Santa Monica Freeway (I-10), exit on Overland and
head north. Turn right on Pi co Boulevard. Great course, great waits. Plan on five hours plus
and be thrilled if you finish in less. It is worth
the entire hassle to play. By the way, how do all
the same old guys go out the same time every week?
When they score 120 for the round, is it time for
them to go play Encino or Woodley? We know, one day
we'll get old, but at least we'll have the sense to
go play an appropriate course.
