Designed by
Tom Fazio. This isolated, exclusive course enjoys
one of the most beautiful pristine sites in American
golf. Rolling
hills and flat meadow holes, with restrained
bunkering, combine for a very playable course that
can bare its teeth if you play from the tips. From Monterey (about 15 miles south to the course):
Go south on Highway 1. Turn left on Carmel Valley
Road.
After about
two and one-half
miles, turn right on Rancho San Carlos Road. The
club is about 15 minutes past the security gate.
One of golf's best inland sites. The drive to the
clubhouse has to be longest and most magnificent in
the game. If you ever receive an invitation to play,
expect excellent service too.

Renovations have kept this former military course in
the forefront of San Francisco golf. Tall,
tree-lined fairways surround each hole on this
challenging, hilly layout. From Stonestown in
San Francisco: Go north on 19th Avenue, toward the
Golden Gate Bridge. Make a right turn on Lake Street
and a left on Arguello Boulevard to the course. The
course is ten minutes from downtown. Great course
but there is not a level lie anywhere to be found.
It's as if you have landed on the set of the
original Batman series. In the past, tee times have
been hard to come by, but it will be interesting to
see what happens now that the remodeled Harding Park
is up and running.
