Designed by Robert Dean Putman (remodel). For the low handicapper, the hardest thing about Porterville Golf Course may be finding the first and second tee boxes. This is a level course with a few hilly holes and gently sloping greens. The nearby road creates out-of-bounds on at least three holes. From within Porterville: Off Highway 190, drive north on Piano Street. When the road zigs, turn right on Corona and follow it to the course. Turn on to Isham Avenue to the course.

Designed by unknown. This is a par-3 course located in a mobile home park. From downtown Los Angeles (about 120 miles east to the course): Take I-10 east, exit at Monterey Avenue, and go south. Turn left on Country Club Drive and then right on Portola Avenue.
