Designed by William F. Bell. This is definitely a "local knowledge" course. Tight, slanted, tree­lined fairways that often turn put a definite premium on accuracy off the tee. The other engaging factor is the wonderful views around the property; many of the holes are exquisitely framed. The course plays a little more difficult than the yardage would suggest. Carts are mandatory and included in greens until twilight rates take effect. Pine Mountain also has a campground. From Modesto (about 65 miles east to the course): Take Highway 99 north to Highway 120 east to Groveland. Be sure to take the Yosemite Junction to stay on Highway 120. Once in Groveland, turn left on Ferretti and then right on Mueller. Friendly, scenic, interesting, and a good value make for a winning combination.

Designed by unknown. This a level course with water coming into play on three holes. There are plenty of trees and ocean views to keep you entertained. From San Luis Obispo (about 15 miles south to the course): Take Highway 1 south to Grover City. Go right on Grand Avenue, toward the beach, and follow the signs to the course.
