Designed by Bob Baldock. This is a well-groomed traditional course with slight elevation changes. Oakdale is a member-friendly course, lined by trees, and many of the greens are elevated, putting an emphasis on accuracy. Reasonably priced memberships are still available. Reciprocal play with other member-only clubs is allowed. From Modesto (about 18 miles northeast to the course): Take Highway 108 east from Highway 99. Turn left on Stearns Road, past Oakdale.

Designed by Ron Fream. Don't look to yardage when picking your tees. Even at 6,275 yards, this is a challenging layout. Oakhurst is demanding off the tee, in the fairway, and on the greens. With plenty of homes and streets nearby, out-of-bounds is everywhere. The fairways are rolling to hilly, and uneven lies are common. You will be hitting into large, well-protected greens. The greens are big, quick, and sloping. The 18th hole is one of most feared in Northern California. Did we mention the wind? From Walnut Creek (about nine miles east to the course): Off I-680, exit onto Ygnacio Valley Road and drive east for about eight miles. Turn right on Clayton Road. Turn left on Peacock Creek Drive.
