NORTH COAST REGION
Members only - 18 hole

Tel:
(707) 252-1114
Designed by member Built (front), Ron Fream
(back). The original nine was built in 1917 and was
designed by the members. The front nine features
smaller greens and oak tree-lined fairways. The back
nine was built in 1 990 by Ron Fream and has a more
modern feel, with an emphasis on target golf. This
is a fun and interesting layout, but be careful if
you wager with a member - local knowledge rules.
Reciprocal play with other members-only clubs is
allowed. From San Francisco (about 60 miles
northeast to the course): Take US 101 north to
Highway 37 and go east to Highway 29. Follow Highway
29 north toward Highway 121. Take Highway 121 east.
Turn right on Hagen Road, to the course.
NATIONAL CITY GOLF COURSE
(1961)
SAN DIEGO REGION
Public - 9 hole - cost: $8 - $14
1439 Sweetwater Road, National City,
CA 91950
Tel:
(619) 474-1400
Designed by Harry Rainville. National City
starts out narrow and ends narrow. Sandwiched
between hillsides, this is a tight, short, level
course that will punish the right-handed golfer who
tends to hook the ball off the tee. Why? Most of the
out-of-bounds run along the left side of the course.
From San Diego (about six miles south to the
course): Take
I-805
south, exit at Sweetwater Road, and
head west
