Designed by William F. Bell. This is a long, older desert course with mature trees and rolling fair­ways. Many of the fairways are parallel to each other, so chances are if you don't hit your fairway, you will hit someone else's. The greens are on the smaller side, and Muroc lake comes into play on one hole. This course is limited to military personnel and guests only. From Palmdale (about 50 miles north to the course): Take Highway 14 north to the Rosamond exit, to Edwards AFB. Turn right and head to the Edwards AFB gate. The guard has further directions.

Designed by Jack Fleming, Bob Baldock. This is long, parkland-style course with mature trees and water on 11 holes. The description may be simple, but the course plays tough. A steady putter and proper club selection are the keys to shooting a low score. Check their website for Internet specials. From Vallejo (about 15 miles north to the course): Take Highway 29 north. Take the Lake Berryessa/Downtown Napa split to Streblow Drive. Make a left on Streblow Drive to the course. Much-needed renovation over the last few years has improved course conditions considerably.
