Designed by William P. Bell. This is a traditional course with mature trees. The front nine traverses the valley, while the back nine plays close to the shores of lake Murray. The course has many short par 4s, so think accuracy over distance. Iii From within San Diego: Take I-8 east, exit on College Avenue, and turn left. Go about one and one-half miles and turn right on Navajo. Turn right on Golfcrest Drive and then left on Golfcrest Place.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, Robert Trent Jones Jr (remodel). This is a hilly course that requires long, precise drives and a good touch on and around the greens. Water comes into play on a few holes. From Irvine (about 13 miles southeast to the course): Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) south to I-5 south, exit Oso Parkway, and turn right off the freeway. Turn right on Country Club Drive. The course is visible from both sides of Oso Parkway.
