Designed by Alister Mackenzie. This is an immaculately kept Alister Mackenzie design. The fairways are lined with trees and the greens are well protected and require a soft touch. The yardage is no indication of the challenge. Reciprocal play with other members-only clubs is allowed. From San Francisco (about 23 miles north to the course): Take US 101 north. Exit at Sir Francis Drake and go left (west). Veer to the left in Fairfax. Turn right on Broadway (parallel to Sir Francis Drake). Turn left on Bolinas Road.

Designed by Tom Sanderson. This is a tight course that has you playing every direction except upside down. There are many blind shots, so the smart player will drive ahead to see the greens. The break of the greens can be tricky for those who have never played here. Carts are included and mandatory before noon. From San Diego (about 30 miles north to the course): Take I-15 north, exit at Deer Spring/Mountain Meadow Road. From the four-way stop, go up the hill to the club.
