Designed by Robert Dean Putman. Maturity and
better conditioning have really improved this flat,
treed valley course. While not particularly long and
fairly open off the tee, there is enough bunkering
to keep your attention. From Fresno (about 27 miles
northwest to the course): Drive north on Highway 99,
take the Avenue 17 exit and go west to the course.
It is on the left.

Designed by Johnny Miller, Robert Muir Graves.
Maderas is one of the longer San Diego area courses
from the tips. This scenic layout plays through
cliffs, trees, and creeks of the inland hill
country. It also features dramatic rock
outcroppings. Carts and range balls are included in
your green fees. From San Diego (about 18 miles
north to the course): Take I-15 north, exit at
Rancho Bernardo Road, and head east for three miles.
Turn left on Old Coach Road to the club. If it is
not the best course in San Diego County, it is a
worthy competitor. It is fair and challenging, has a
good flow, and is very well manicured, perhaps
architect Graves' best California layout!
