Designed by Pete Dye and Fred Couples. Both
courses are pristine, and we could spend two pages
describing elevation changes, canyons, undulating
greens, wind, and beautiful scenery, but you are
just going to have to experience it for yourself. We
will give you some advice. One, if you are a decent
golfer, you may not want to play from the tips, but
don't play too far up; your landing areas for long
drives shrinks. Two, spend time on the putting
green. At Lost Canyons, you can play either the
Shadow Course or the Sky Course. The yardage listed
is for the Sky Course. Walking is allowed, but we
advise against it. From west Los Angeles (about 35
miles northwest to the course): Take the San Diego
Freeway (I-405) north to Highway 118 west. Take the
Tapo Canyon exit and head north almost two miles.
Turn left on Lost Canyons Drive. Located a few miles
away in the Simi Valley, it delivers on the promise
of upscale daily fee golf. Holes 11 through 17 on
the Sky Course are an amazing experience.
