Designed by unknown. This executive course has narrow, tree-lined fairways, small greens, and water that comes into play on four holes. From within Redding: Off I-5, take the Highway 299 east exit. Turn left and proceed to Market Street. Make a left on Market Street and a right on Benton Drive, to the course.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, Robert Trent Jones Jr. This is an open. shot-maker's course. Mature trees and homes line Lake Ridge. Don't let the yardage fool you; from the back tees, this is a stiff test of golf. As long as they choose the regular tees, the less-skilled players can have fun at Lake Ridge. From within Reno: Off I-80, take US 395 south. Take the South Virginia exit, and go left. Turn right on McCarran and left on Plumas. Turn right on Razorback Road and follow the signs. On the 15th hole, the view from the 120' elevated tee down to the large island green, with the city in the background, is worth the price of admission, easily the area's most photographed hole.
