Designed by William F. Bell. This is a slightly
rolling course with trees, but the player is still
left with plenty of fairway. The greens range in
size from small to medium. 16 La Mirada was named
municipal course of the year by the county of Los
Angeles. From downtown Los Angeles (about 20 miles
southeast to the course): Take I-5 south to La
Mirada. Exit on Rosecrans and head east. Turn left
on La Mirada Boulevard and then right on Alicante
Road.

3455 State Highway 246, Lompoc, CA
93436
Tel: (805) 735-8395
Designed by Robert Muir Graves. La Purisima is
built into the hills of the Lompoc. Do you have
trouble keeping the ball straight? Beware - miss the
fairways or greens and you will find yourself in
trees, brush, creeks, ponds, or a well-placed trap.
With elevated tees and greens, chances are you will
be hitting at an angle at some point during the
round. Wind can be a factor in the afternoon. 16 The
PGA and US Open used this as a qualifying
site from 1995 to 2001. The LPGA Santa Barbara Open
was held here in 1987 and 1988. From Santa Barbara
(about 55 miles northwest to the course): Travel
north on US 101 to Highway 246 west. Follow Highway
246 west about 13 miles to the entrance. You're
going to have to take our word on this. Factoring in
the quality of the course, the ambience, and
the cost, this is the best course in Southern
California. Words don't do it justice. Play in the
morning - it can get windy in the afternoon.
