Knollwood is part of a housing development, so
out-of-bounds stakes can be found throughout. The
greens are protected by traps and run from small to
medium in size. This is a hilly course, so take some
extra time with your club selection. From downtown
Los Angeles (about 23 miles northwest to the
course): Go north on US 101, exit at Balboa
Boulevard, and head north to the course.

Designed by Lawrence Hughes. Why should you fear
this 5,700 yard course? First, hilly, narrow
fairways will have the smart player thinking twice
about hitting driver. Second, Kikuyu grass on the
fairway gives little roll and forces you to fly the
ball to the green. Third, there is no-third, but
aren't the other two enough? Reciprocal play with
other members-only clubs is allowed. From downtown
Los Angeles (about 18 miles north to the course):
Take Pasadena Freeway (I-110) north to I210 west.
Exit onto Angeles Crest Highway and go north just
over a mile. Turn right on Starlight and then right
on Godbey Drive.
