Designed by William F. Bell. This nine-hole
course has some spunk. Harbor Park has narrow
fairways, water hazards, and tricky greens.
From downtown Los Angeles (about 18 miles south to the
course): Take the Harbor Freeway (I-110) south, and
exit at Anaheim Street. Take an immediate right from
the off-ramp onto Figueroa Place. The course is on
the left.

Designed by Willie Watson, Jack Fleming (Fleming
nine), PGA Tour Design Services, Sandy Tatum
(remodel). Located near the Pacific Coast on the
shores of Lake Merced, this venerable public layout
with its cypress-lined fairways is reminiscent of
its famous nearby neighbor, the Olympic Club. For
golfers who don't have the time to play 18-holes,
the Fleming Nine, an executive course designed by
Jack Fleming is a scaled down version of Harding
Park with well-bunkered greens and tight fairways.
Playing Harding Park is like taking a history lesson
in Bay Area golf. Built in 1925, the course has
played host to numerous pro and amateur events. From
the Golden Gate Bridge southbound: Take the 19th
Avenue exit. Off Park Presidio, turn right on
Fulton. Turn left at the beach onto Skyline
Boulevard. The course is on the right. Chosen as our
cover course, this has to be the most influential
remodel in California over the past few years. Once
an eyesore to the golf enthusiast, Harding Park will
once again take its place among the area's, the
state's, and the nation's best municipal courses.
