GOLF CLUB OF
CALIFORNIA, THE
SAN DIEGO REGION
Members Only
- 18 hole
3742 Flowerwood Lane, Fallbrook, GA

Tel:

Designed by unknown. This
private club is definitely cart golf, traveling long
distances among environmentally sensitive areas and
housing. You will encounter scarcely a level lie,
many nice views, and a stout challenge. The course
is one of a few in the state that end with a par 3.
From downtown San Diego (about 20 miles to the
course): Take I-15
north and exit at Hwy 76 and drive
west for 2.5 miles to Flowerwood Lane. Turn right on
Flowerwood Lane and go one-half mile to clubhouse
entrance. I see this as a layout that will appeal
more to the serious, more accomplished player;
besides it's golf only. There is a more of a premium
upon tee ball accuracy here than at many new private
clubs I've played. Though stated often, here you
will likely use every club in your bag. Expect
excellent service.

Designed by Ted Robinson. There are two courses
at Indian Wells, the East Course and the West
Course. Indian Wells could be the definition of a
resort course: aesthetically pleasing and user
friendly. Sure, there is water on 14 of the 36
holes, but in most spots the water can be easily
avoided. Hit the ball well and you will score well.
Hit the ball poorly and you will be surprised at how
many
good
bounces you receive. Carts are included in the green
fees and mandatory. Check their website for
specials. Yardage listed is for the East Course.
From downtown Los Angeles (about 125 miles east to
the course): Take I-10 east, exit at Washington
Avenue and head south. Go west on Highway 111, then
north on Indian Wells Lane to the club. The club is
on the right, just past the Hyatt.
