pushover for the better player. Reservations are not
accepted at Golden Gate Park, walk-ons only. From
the Golden Gate Bridge southbound: Take the 19th
Avenue exit. Off Park Presidio, turn right on
Fulton. Turn left on 47th Avenue into Golden Gate

Designed by Bob Williams. If you can make it to
the greens, you will find them very puttable. The
rest of the course is not so amiable. Tahoe Donner
is a very narrow, mountain layout that winds between
the pines and will discipline golfers who stray off
the fairway. From Sacramento (about 100 miles
northeast to the course): Take
I-80
east to Truckee. Take the first Truckee exit (Donner
Pass Road). Turn left on Donner Pass Road and then
left on Northwoods Boulevard to the course. This
beautiful trek through the mountain woods is good
for the soul and makes for fun golf as
well.
