Designed by E. Warren Beach. Don't worry about
distance; concentrate on hitting your targets, which
can be narrow (fairways) or small (greens). If you
can't hit your mark or avoid hitting the ball in one
of the four lakes, enjoy the scenery and the
flowing, traditional layout. From downtown Los
Angeles (about 32 miles northeast to the course):
Take
I-10
east to Highway 57 north. Exit at Auto Center Drive
and turn right, heading east. Turn left on Amelia
Avenue. The clubhouse is on the right. Turn right on
Country Club Drive.

Designed by Jack Fleming. Prepare for battle.
This rugged (unkempt) nine-hole course will push
your game to the limit. You will be fighting against
hilly, narrow, tree-lined terrain, uneven lies and
hitting onto little greens. If you play in the
morning, you must brave the elements San Francisco
is famous for-fog and wind. How many nine-hole
courses have you seen with a slope of
140? From San Francisco: Take US 101 south. Exit at Paul
Avenue. Take Mansell straight up the hill. Stay to
the left and turn left on Sunnydale Avenue. The
driveway is on the left and has no signage. This is
not in the best part of town. Like most courses in
San Francisco, the facility is badly in need of
renovation. This course is a diamond in the rough,
and could be a showplace.
