Genoa Lakes Drive, Genoa, NV 89411

Designed by Peter Jacobsen, John Harbottle. The
course occupies a flat valley area, with a gorgeous
backdrop of the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada.
This excellent layout features water and well-placed
bunkering. The course becomes much more difficult in
the afternoon wind. From Reno (about 48 miles south
to the course): Go south on US 395. Past Carson
City, turn right on Jacks Valley Road. Go about
seven and one-half miles, and Genoa Lakes is on the
left. This may be a better course than its more
famous neighbor over the hill, Edgwood Tahoe.

2695 Hecker Pass Highway, Gilroy, CA

Tel: (408) 848-0490
Designed by Don Delorenzo, Sr. This old course
is not as easy as you might imagine. Gilroy Golf
Course was built on a hillside in the early 1920s.
There are constant elevation changes, which can
create some unique lies, even if your ball is in the
fairway. The small greens leave little margin for
error. The two extra holes change the configuration
of the front and back nines. From San Jose (about 30
miles south to the course): Go south on US 101. Exit
on Masten and go right. Turn left on Santa Teresa
Boulevard. Turn right on Hecker Pass Highway. The
course is on the right.
