Designed by unknown. Short in distance, with generous fairways, large greens, some sand, and aesthetically pleasing lakes and waterfalls, EI Segundo won't punish the beginner or bore the seasoned golfer. The course offers an extensive program for junior golfers. From west Los Angeles (about 12 miles south to the course): Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) south, exit at Rosecrans, and head west. Turn right on Sepulveda. This is the type of facility that will get peo­ple into golf or back into golf.

Designed by William Foley. This former military course is level with no water and few bunkers. However, there are plenty of trees that can get in your way. EI Toro has a nine-hole pitch and putt course located in between the first, eighth, and ninth holes. From downtown Los Angeles (about 45 miles southeast): Take I-5 south to the Alton exit. Go east four miles to Fairbanks and make a left and then a quick right on Astor to the course.
