Designed by unknown. The East Course is an open, high-desert golf, where low scores are a real possibility. The West Course is a much more difficult links-style course, with more punishing hazards such as natural vegetation, water, and plenty of strategic bunkering. The West Course also features more elevation changes throughout. The yardage listed is for the West Course. From South lake Tahoe (about 30 miles northeast to the course): Take US 50 east. After passing through Carson City, turn left on Centennial Park Drive.

Designed by Johnny Miller, Jack Barry. located at the site of the old Shakespeare Country Club, which was private, Eagle Vines is a compilation of the former Shakespeare holes and newly built holes. The new holes are old-world, with small greens, good bunkering and wide rolling fairways. The existing nine has changed little, with the same tight fairways, crazy, tiered undulating fast greens with water, out of bounds and ravines. The course is located right next to the Chardonnay Golf Club. From within Napa: Off Highway 29, take Highway 12 east. Go about one and one-half miles, and make a right on South Kelley Road. The course is located on Highway 12 between Highway 29 and I-80. You're in for quite a ride on this challenging, schizophrenic, and entertaining golf course. The course ends in a flurry of blind shots.
