Designed by William F. Bell. Mature trees and excellent greens provide most of the challenge on this well-maintained, fairly short, resort course. From San Diego (about 15 miles north to the course): Take I-15 north to the Carmel Mountain Road exit. Drive west for a quarter mile off the free­way to Penasquitos Drive. Turn right on Penasquitos Drive, to the resort.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus. This housing development course plays along ridgelines and into canyons. Depending on the tees you choose, the course can be playable or very challenging. The elevated tee shots from the 10th and 17th holes are spectacular. From Irvine (about 20 miles southeast to the course): Take the San Diego Freeway (l-405) south to l-5 south, exit onto Alicia Parkway, and turn left. At the end, turn right on Santa Margarita Parkway until that ends. Turn right on Piano Trabuco. Turn left into Dove Canyon, to the gate.
