Designed by Ted Robinson. This is a narrow, easily walk-able course bordered by palms and a variety of other trees. The greens are medium sized and flat. Water comes into play on six holes. From downtown Los Angeles (about 125 miles east to the course): Take I-10 east, exit on Cook Street, and head south. Turn left on Highway 111 and then left on Desert Horizons Drive. Check in at the gate.

Designed by Desmond Muirhead. Instead of a course with an island green, this is a residential community set on an island, with a golf course bordering the lake. Not a long course, Desert Island stresses accuracy off the tee and precise iron play onto small greens. Although water comes into play on one-third of the holes, it is your putter that will make or break your round. The greens are not only small, but some are severely undulating. From downtown Los Angeles (about 120 miles east to the course): Take I-10 east, exit at Ramon Road/Bob Hope Drive, and go right. Turn left on Bob Hope Drive. Turn right on Frank Sinatra Drive.
