of this attractive layout is set in a valley,
with water and strong bunkering presenting the
challenge. From San Diego (about 20 miles north
to the course): Take I-5 north, exit onto Del
Mar Heights Road, and go east. Turn left on EI
Camino Real and then right on San Dieguito Road.
Turn right on Camino Santa Fe to the gate.

This hilly site is spectacular, with many views,
but essentially requires a cart to play it.
Expansive fairways with mounded bunkering look
dramatic but play slightly easier. There is
nothing easy about the par-3 17th, which has to
rank with the most demanding in America. To
score well, keep it in play and trust the
yardage - it's accurate. Del Mar National Golf
Club has been recognized on Golf for Women's Top
100 Women-Friendly Golf Courses list. A resort
will be added to the golf course in the near
future. From within San Diego: Take I-5, exit at
the Route 56 East/Carmel Valley Road Junction.
Proceed one and one-half miles to the Carmel
Country Road exit. Turn right, then proceed
one-quarter mile to Meadows Del Mar. Turn left
to the club.
