Designed by Palmer & Seay. Long considered among the area's best challenges and home to many competitions, this flat course meanders over sculptured fairways. There is some fierce bunkering, and lakes guard some huge, sloping greens. When the afternoon winds pick up, this course is an absolute beast. Dayton Valley has played host to Stage 1 of PGA Tour qualifying since 1995. From South Lake Tahoe (about 37 miles northeast to the course): Take US 50 east. Exit Dayton Valley Road. Turn right on Palmer Drive. The course is on the right.

Designed by Lawrence Hughes. Part of a housing development, this is an old, level, traditional course with tree-lined fairways and medium-sized crowned greens. From San Diego (about 90 miles northeast to the course): Take I-8 east to Highway 67 and go north to Highway 78 and go east. In Santa Ysabel, turn left on to Highway 79. Turn right onto S-2, then left on to S-22. Once in Borrego Springs, from Christmas Tree Circle on the north side of town take Borrego Springs Road. Turn left on San Ysidro and then right on Catarina.
