Designed by Jack Nicklaus
(designed Tournament Course and redesigned Valley
Course). The Tournament Course plays on both sides
of the freeway and is a stout test of your skills.
Off the tee, the course gives you plenty of room,
but the greens are surrounded by overly protective,
deep traps. The greens are undulating and can
unnerve the weak putter. The Valley Course routing
is confusing, but the playability and improved
conditions make it a much-needed addition to the
area. It is flatter and somewhat easier than the
neighboring Tournament Course. Check their website
for specials. Carts are included on weekends. From
San Jose (about 20 miles south to the course): Drive
south on US 101. Exit at Coyote Creek Golf Drive.
The course is visible from the freeway. Along with
Cinnabar Hills, this is your best bet for an upscale
golf experience in San Jose.
