Designed by Robert Muir Graves. The low handicapper should pick spots to be aggressive. With water hazards or out-of-bounds on nearly every hole, the impatient player will rack up plenty of penalty strokes. The front side has far more trees to contend with than the back. You will find several of the greens elevated throughout. From Sacramento (about 14 miles north to the course): From I-80 take the Watt Avenue exit and head north. Turn left on Elverta Road.

Designed by unknown. The fairways are super-sized and lined with mature trees. The terrain is rolling, and the greens are sloping. From downtown Los Angeles (about ten miles south to the course): Take the Harbor Freeway (I-110) south and exit at EI Segundo. Turn right and then make another right on Western. Chester Washington is just up the hill. This muni plays like a muni and is everything you would expect in a muni.
