Designed by Robert Muir Graves. This is a
popular executive course that is Best suited for
those who are learning the game or for those who
want to brush up on their iron play. The practice
facility is open until
9:30
p.m. and has over 76 hitting stations, many of which
are covered. From Walnut Creek (about six miles
north to the course): Take I-680 north. Exit at
Concord Boulevard. Turn left at Diamond Avenue, and
then right on Concord Boulevard. This course may be
a plain Jane with rough edges, but there is enough
here to entertain most golfers. quick to walk,
friendly folks, and inexpensive too, Buchanan Fields
is the type of simple short courses that the game
needs.

Designed by James Young. This is a short, level
course that wraps counterclockwise around a small
lake. Although not difficult, it's a fun course for
someone who wants to playa quick nine holes. From
Napa (about 80 miles north to the course): Take
Highway 29 north to Lower Lake. Make a left (still
on Highway 29) and drive seven miles to Soda Bay.
Turn right on Soda Bay Road and drive one mile past
Konocti Harbor Resort. The entrance is on the left.
