BRIDGES AT RANCHO SANTA FE, THE

SAN DIEGO REGION
Members only:

Seven Bridges Road, Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Tel: (858) 759-7200
Designed by Robert Trent Jones
Jr. From the back tees, this is a demanding course
with many forced carries. Although the landing areas
are generous, miss the fairways and you will most
likely end up in a natural vegetation area.
Translation: you will be reaching in your bag for
another ball. The only hole where you really have to
think about water is on eighteen. The front nine is
rolling, while on the back nine you will encounter
dramatic elevation changes. From San Diego (about 20
miles north to the course): Take I-5 north, exit at
Via de la Valle, and turn right. Turn right at Paseo
Delicias, which turns into Del Dios Highway. Turn
left on EI Camino del Norte and then right on Aliso
Canyon Road. Turn right at the T, and then make a
quick left into the club. The excellent service,
magnificent clubhouse, challenging uphill
approaches, and most definitely the bridges really
made an impression on me.

Designed by Damian Pascuzzo, Robert Muir Graves,
Johnny Miller. The Bridges is situated in a valley
bisected by a creek and surrounded by houses above.
It features bold, attractive bunkering and is a very
demanding layout from tee to green with plenty of
forced carries and challenging lies. From Walnut
Creek (about 18 miles south to the course): Take
I-680 south. Exit at Bollinger Canyon Road and turn
left (east). Drive for approximately three miles.
Turn right on Gale Ridge Road. Is your handicap too
low? Is golf not a challenge anymore? If you
answered yes to any of the above questions, play the
Bridges.
