Designed by Ted Robinson. This
36-hole golf course features three championship
nine-hole courses with wide fairways, several water
holes, some blind shots, and large, sloping greens.
On a few holes, housing and large power lines do
come into play. There is also a 1,452-yard,
nine-hole executive course that has water on six of
the holes. Yardage shown is for the Creekside/Hillside
combination. You can sometimes find discount coupons
on their website. From San Francisco (about 55 miles
east to the course): Take I-80
east to I-580 east to Livermore. Take
the Vasco Road North exit and head north about 20
miles to Brentwood. Turn left on Balfour Road and
follow to Summerset Drive. Turn left on Summerset
Drive to the clubhouse. You actually play under
power lines for a few holes. That's not the problem.
What you need to be aware of are the holes with
blind drives over a hill. There are lakes sitting on
the other side. You think you toasted one in the
fairway and the next thing you know, you're hitting
three.
