on another two. The greens are flat and there are no
blind shots. From San Diego (about ten miles south
to the course): Take I-5 south to Highway 54 east.
Exit at Briarwood and go right to the bottom of the
hill. Go left on Sweetwater Road, and the course
will be on the right.

Springs, GA 92004
Tel: (760) 767-3330
Designed by Cary
Bickler. The three
nines are the Mesquite, Desertwillow, and Palms.
Known for its generous fairways and large, tiered
greens, Borrego Springs is accented with palm trees
and bunkers. Water comes
into play on five holes. Borrego Springs is part of
a full service resort. The two most challenging
nines are the Desertwillow and Palms. The yardage
listed is for the Mesquite/Desertwillow combination.
Carts are included and mandatory. From San Diego
(about 90 miles northeast to the course): Take I-8
east to Highway 67, go north to Highway 78, and go
east. In Santa Ysabel, turn left on to Highway 79.
Turn right onto S-2, then left onto S-22. Once in
Borrego Springs, pass the
roundabout
and
then turn right at the only stop sign. This is one
of the few 27-hole courses that allow you pick which
nine holes you would like to play (in most cases).
Friendly staff, nice course, and reasonable green
fees make this a worthy choice.
