CD Designed by Desmond Muirhead, Robert Muir Graves. This upscale private course plays among the hills and homes of Newport Beach. The course features many blind shots into greens, so course knowledge is imperative to score well. From west Los Angeles (about 50 miles southeast to the course): Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) south to Highway 73 Toll Road south. Exit at MacArthur Boulevard and head south. Turn right on San Joaquin Hills Road. The next right is Big Canyon Drive. The guard at the gate will give further instructions.

Designed by unknown. Bigfoot is a tree-lined course with water on more than half the holes. Out. of-bounds comes into play on the perimeter of the course. From Eureka (about 45 miles east to the course): Go north on US 101 to Highway 299 and drive east. Turn left at Country Club Road. Cross the Trinity River and make a left on Patterson. Turn right on Bigfoot Avenue.
