Designed by unknown. This is a rustic nine-hole course with plenty of trees and rolling terrain. From Sacramento (about 45 miles northeast to the course): Take I-80 east to Highway 49 south. After about eight miles, turn left onto Highway 193. The course is on the left.

Designed by Bissett & Curtola. With narrow fairways, elevated tee boxes that provide excellent views, and rugged terrain, Auburn Valley plays much longer than the yardage indicates. If you survive tee to green. you will have to negotiate around notoriously quick greens. Reciprocal play with other members-only clubs is allowed. From Sacramento (about 40 miles east to the course): Take I-80 east to Auburn, then take Highway 49 north. Exit at Lone Star Road and head west to Auburn Valley Road. This leads to the course. This course is a hidden gem.
