Designed by Algie Pulley. Dogwood and pine trees line the fairways of this mountain course. Apple Mountain's varied terrain makes even lies the exception rather than the rule. Beware of the grass hollows; they can ruin a perfectly good round. From Sacramento (about 50 miles east to the course): Take US 50 east past Placerville. Make a left to Carson Road and then an immediate right on Carson (a frontage road). Turn left at the Apple Mountain sign, to the course.

Designed by William F. Bell. This is a flat course with tightly mowed, extensive fairways and hard, slick greens. Two lakes come into play. From San Bernardino (about 44 miles north to the course): Take I-15 north, and exit on D Street (Highway 18 east). Follow Highway 18 east about four miles; turn right on Rancherias Road.
