Designed by William
Bell. A traditional, tightly treed course with oak
and pine, Ancil Hoffman requires accurate tee and
approach play. When in good condition, the layout
compares favorably to
some
of the best in
Northern California. From Sacramento (course is
about 12 miles east): Head east on I-80, and exit on
Madison. Go south to Sunrise Boulevard, and turn
right. Turn right on Fair Oaks Boulevard and then
left on California. Turn left on Tarshes Drive.

Designed by William H. Tucker, Jr. Mount Shasta sits
right behind the first hole. OK, not exactly, but it
looks like if you miss the green, your ball will be
resting at the base of the mountain. The course is
level and tree lined. Plenty of parallel fairways
will benefit the golfer who can't hit it straight.
Cart paths and new practice greens have been added.
From within Redding: Head south on I-5 and take the
Anderson exit through Anderson. Cross the Sacramento
River. At the four-way stop, turn left on Churn
Creek Road. The course is on the right.
