Designed by David Rainville. This is a member-friendly course that rewards the accurate driver. Avoiding the homes that border the fairways creates plenty of challenge. Reciprocal play with, other members-only clubs is allowed. From Anaheim (about eight miles northeast to the course): Go east on Highway 91. Exit at Tustin Avenue. Turn left on Tustin Avenue and then left on Alta Vista Street. The club is on the right, at the corner of Alta Vista Street and Sue.

Designed by William P. Bell. Altadena has plenty of trees, but with many parallel holes and wide landing areas, missing the short grass is nearly impossible. Chipping or pitching onto the elevated and crowned greens requires a deft touch. With an extensive practice facility, this is a great place to take up the game. From downtown Los Angeles (about 16 miles northeast to the course): Take the Pasadena Freeway (I-110) north to I-210 east. Exit at Lake Avenue, and go north about two and one-half miles. Turn right on Mendocino Street. The course is on the right.
