Alhambra is a walkable course with narrow fairways
and small, level greens. While the front nine is
completely flat, the back nine does have some tilt
to it. Because of its relatively short length, the
course is well suited for juniors and players new to
the game. From downtown Los Angeles (about 12 miles
east to the course): Take I-10 east and take the
Garfield North exit, toward Alhambra. Turn right on
Valley Boulevard and go about one-half mile. Turn
left on Almansor Street, which will dead-end at the
course.

Panks. The
good
news is that most of the landing areas are generous.
The bad news is if you happen to miss the generous
fairways, you will find yourself in a
not-so-generous arroyo that runs through 14 holes.
The greens are small by today's standards and can be
tricky. Unusual to this area, trees frame the
fairways (pear and purple locust). Beware of the
traps, because if you hit in them, you will be
trapped. From the Las Vegas Strip (about 20 miles to
the the course): Take
I-15
(north) towards Salt Lake for nine
miles. Exit 52 left on I-215 (west) for eight miles.
Exit right on Aliante Parkway (north), then turn
right on Elkhorn (east) The golf course will be on
your left.
