native oaks, two creeks, and small, well-maintained
greens. From Napa (about 35 miles north to the
course): Take Highway 29 north, past Saint Helena.
Turn right on Deer Park Road and head east. Cross
the Silverado Trail and drive 12 miles to Pope
Valley. Pass through the town of Angwin. Turn left
on Pope Valley Road. Drive three and one-half miles
to Aetna Springs Road. Turn left and drive about a
mile to the course. Aetna Springs Golf Course is a
great history lesson in old-school golf.
